|About the Primate Gallery|
The Primate Gallery project began in 1994 and was formally launched on the World Wide Web in April of 1995. The purpose of this project is to provide a central source for collecting, digitizing, and distributing primate images. Primate illustrations, paintings, photographs, and sounds are provided for educational use, primate identification and studies in taxonomy. The Primate Gallery is administered by Tim Knight who manages Web services in a scientific institute at the University of Washington.
